Summer 1988

The Burlington Mall, anchored by Sears, Jordan Marsh, and Filene’s, expands by adding a second story, as well as eastside anchor Lord & Taylor. Quickly outgrowing the original shop, United Marble Fabricators relocates to a larger fabrication facility, renting a space at 205 Arlington Street in Watertown, MA.

United opens its first retail showroom to the public. United Tile America, located at 222 Arsenal Street in Watertown provides tile and stone to the developing suburbs of the metro-Boston area.

United once again outgrows the fabrication facility. Intent on further investment into the industry and local community, United purchases a nearby industrial building, creating a new fabrication and warehouse facility at 10 Munroe Avenue in Watertown, MA.

Our History

Our unique blend of old-world wisdom, cutting edge technology, and impeccable artistry and craftsmanship has helped us bring together the best in the industry.

Today, it seems as if there is a stone shop on every corner. Mention our name and you will quickly find that many of the fabrication shops in the Boston area are operated by people who began their stone industry careers at United Marble Fabricators. While many have tried to replicate our success, we are proud to say that we continue to work harder, think smarter, fabricate faster, and install more skillfully than any of the others.
